Digital Trophies and Achievements That Earn Themselves From Your Real Activity
By PlanJour team, Sparklithic Ltd · Published · Updated
No manual check-ins, no forms to fill in. PlanJour trophies are earned automatically from your actual calendar and journal activity.
Gamification that doesn't ask anything extra of you
A lot of habit and productivity apps bolt on a rewards system that requires its own upkeep: check a box here, log a point there, and hope you remember to do it consistently enough for the gamification to actually mean anything. PlanJour's trophies work differently. They're earned automatically, purely from the calendar events and journal entries you're already creating.
How a trophy actually gets earned
Every trophy is tied to a real signal: a certain number of Health-category events logged in a month, a journaling streak of a certain length, a birthday recorded in your profile, and more being added regularly. Some trophies reset every month, giving you a fresh shot at them; others are all-time, tracking your cumulative history. Either way, there's nothing to remember to do beyond using PlanJour the way you already were.
Progress you can actually see
The Achievements page shows every trophy you're working toward, with a progress bar for each one so you know exactly how close you are, not just whether you've earned it yet. It's also echoed in your Journal's Month Recap, so your reflection on the month includes what you actually accomplished, not just how you felt about it.
A nice side effect: a discount
Earn enough non-work trophies and you unlock a one-time discount on your first PlanJour Plus subscription. It's a small thank-you for genuinely using the free plan the way it's meant to be used, not a paywall dressed up as a reward.
Built on the same honesty as everything else in PlanJour
There's no fake urgency here, no trophies designed purely to nag you into opening the app. They're a byproduct of a calendar and journal you'd want to use anyway, which is really the only kind of gamification worth building. See the full list evolve on the public roadmap, or start free and see what you've already earned without realising it.
