What is Year in Review and where does it get its information?
Most year-end reviews hand you a blank page and ask you to remember twelve months. PlanJour already holds them, so it assembles yours instead.

Sitting down in late December with an empty template and trying to reconstruct a year from memory is asking your memory to do the one thing it is worst at. You will remember the last six weeks vividly and almost nothing before October.
PlanJour already holds the year: your events, your entries, your moods, your habits, your check-ins.
What it shows you
Where the time actually went, by category. How your Life Progress scores moved across the year. The lines you pressed and kept. The habits that held, and the ones that did not.
It reads from confirmed events
This matters. Year in Review counts what you told it actually happened, not what was scheduled — so it is the real year rather than the intended one. If you have not confirmed much, it will tell you how much of the picture it is working from rather than quietly presenting a guess.
It ends by looking forward
The last step seeds next year's allocation targets from what you just read. Not a resolution — a starting shape you can argue with.
When it appears
From December. It is worth leaving until you are genuinely finished with the year.

- How do I connect my Google Calendar to PlanJour?Bring the calendar that already governs your working day into PlanJour, so you are planning against your real week rather than half of it.
- How does the monthly check-in put something in my calendar?Rating your life out of ten and closing the window changes nothing. The check-in can now turn a low score into one specific, recurring commitment - in your real calendar.
- Why does PlanJour not show me a habit streak?Because a counter that resets to zero after one missed day is the single most reliable way to make somebody quit. Here is what PlanJour shows instead.
