How do I tell PlanJour whether an event actually happened?
A scheduled hour nobody attended is not an hour spent. Here is how to confirm what really took place, and why every figure in the app depends on it.

Most tools that claim to show where your time goes are quietly measuring something else: what you scheduled, not what you did.
A standing gym slot nobody attends will inflate a healthy-looking year forever. The only person who knows it is a fiction is you.
How to confirm an event
Open any event that is in the past. Under the details you will find a single question: did this happen? Three answers — it happened, it did not, or it moved. It defaults to yes, so confirming a normal week costs you almost nothing.
Recurring events are confirmed one at a time
A weekly class is not one decision. Each occurrence carries its own answer, so a class you made nine times out of twelve reads as nine — not twelve, and not zero.
What it changes
Only confirmed events count toward your Year Planner and your time balance. Unconfirmed ones stay in your calendar and stay visible; they simply stop being counted as though they were facts.
If you never answer, nothing breaks. Your figures just describe your intentions, which is what every other planner shows you.
Where to see the effect
Year Planner shows the coverage — how much of the year you have confirmed — so you always know how much of the picture is real.
