What is the day capacity bar, and why is it telling me my day does not fit?
PlanJour knows when your day starts and ends. When you schedule more than will fit between those two points, it says so - before the day rather than after it.

Planning more into a day than the day can physically hold is one of the best-documented biases there is. Kahneman and Tversky named it the planning fallacy, and its cruellest finding is that we do not learn from it — people keep underestimating their own tasks no matter how often they are proved wrong.
It does not correct itself with practice. Only something outside your own head changes the outcome.
Where to find it
Open the Day view. Above the hours you will see a slim bar showing how much of your stated day is already committed.
What it counts
Everything scheduled on that date, including things outside your working window. A seven o'clock gym class and an eight o'clock dinner are real commitments even if your working day is nine to five, so they count.
Setting your day
The bar measures against the day start and end times on your account. If it looks wrong, that is usually the place to check — Account, working hours.
When it warns you
When what you have scheduled will not fit in the hours you have, it says so plainly. It does not stop you or nag. It simply refuses to let you find out at eleven at night.
