Life Progress Checks: A Monthly Wheel of Life Check-In That Actually Uses Your Data
Rate the areas of your life out of ten each month, and watch your Wheel of Life change shape based on how you're actually spending your time.

A coaching exercise, without the coach
The Wheel of Life is a well-known self-reflection exercise: score each area of your life (Work, Health, Social, Personal, Travel and whatever else matters to you) out of ten, plot it on a wheel, and see at a glance which areas are thriving and which have quietly gone neglected. It's usually done once, on paper, in a workshop or a coaching session, and then forgotten.
PlanJour turns it into something you actually keep doing, because it lives right inside the calendar and journal you already use every day.
Your first check-in sets a baseline
When you start Life Progress Checks, your first assessment becomes your baseline: a snapshot of how you'd rate each life category right now, today. There's no judgement built into the exercise, it's simply a starting point.
Every month after that builds a picture
From your second check-in onward, you start to see a trend. Maybe Health has been climbing since you started logging gym sessions on your calendar. Maybe Social has quietly dropped for two months running. The point isn't the score itself, it's noticing the direction before it becomes a pattern you regret.
Your custom categories, sensibly grouped
If you've added your own categories on the calendar (a specific hobby, a side project, a relationship), they're automatically grouped into a single 'Other' score in your Wheel of Life, so someone with five custom categories doesn't end up with an unreadable fifteen-spoke wheel. Your built-in categories (Work, Health, Social, Personal, Travel and the rest) each keep their own score, exactly as you'd expect from the real exercise.
It points your calendar and journal at what matters
This isn't a standalone quiz you fill in and forget. Because it sits next to your actual calendar and daily journal, a low score in an area is a nudge you can act on immediately, add the event, block the time, actually go do the thing, rather than a static number in a separate wellness app you never open again.
